2016: A year of fantastic books!

I've seen a lot of blogs posting about their favourite reads for last year and it makes me happy to see so many people still passionate about sharing the love of a good book! For a long while there it seemed that a lot of the book community had lost sight of the reason they starting blogging/writing in the first place ... there was so much negativity around. Good to see the positive flow back in my newsfeed!!

I also read an array of fantastic books in 2016. I tried to narrow it down to a Top 20 but found it impossible, I couldn't take any of these fabulous books off my list! Though I read (and loved!) a lot more than this, these are the ones that stuck with me, the stand-outs, that made my heart swell and cheeks hurt from smiling, they also broke me and left me in a puddle of tears. These books are begging for you to read them (if you haven't already)!

So, here is my Top 22, in no particular order:

These books were not necessarily released in 2016 but that's when I read them. Now, I encourage you to read ALL THE BOOKS! To feed your addiction, here are the purchase links for my 2016 faves:

A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole

Full Tilt & All In by Emma Scott (you MUST read both of these and in order)

Too Late by Colleen Hoover

Wicked Heart by Leisa Rayven (can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend reading the whole series, in order)

A Home for my Heart by Velvet Reed (third book in the series, NEEDS to be read in order, recommend them all!)

Here's Looking at You by Mhairi McFarlane

The One Real Thing by Samantha Young (first in a new series, can be read as a stand alone)

Where Lightning Strikes by A. L. Jackson (third book in the series, can be read as a stand alone but I wouldn't recommend doing that, read them all!!)

The Hooker and the Hermit by Penny Reid & L. H Cosway (first in a series, can be read as a stand alone)

Stealing Home by Nicole Williams

RoomHate by Penelope Ward

It's Not Me, It's You by Mhairi McFarlane

Licked by Brooke Blaine (first in a series, can be read as a stand alone)

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

What You Left Behind by Len Webster (recommend you read the whole series in order)

The Play by Karina Halle (can be read as a stand alone but I recommend the whole series)

Smut by Karina Halle

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

Until We Collide by Charlotte Fallowfield

Here's hoping for another year filled with wondrous adventures between the pages!

Happy New Year!
